My Humble Hideaway …

… offers far more than a haven from the elements, or a place to think and write. From Canterbury Lane I connect with you, and to here I invite you. Virtually or in-person, we can see, learn, laugh, love and share days & nights & events in each of our lives ... joys and sorrows, ideas, feelings ... inspire each other.  And create a hideaway of our own.

Step out my front door, look left and tree-flowers
say “Spring has arrived”; the sign says “here.”
One year, a fox arrived, too; Yoni (my cat) barely
reached that tree before the fox reached her.

Summer morning sunshine brightens our outlook
as it warms our days.  Summer sun is not unique
to Canterbury Lane, of course.   The way it “rises
’n shines” into our front door, is.

Brighter colors return with the advent of Autumn,
via tree leaves and elsewhere.  A busy time for
squirrels, it also keeps Yoni busy.  She envies
their “Tarzan-like” swings from tree to tree.

Sure sign of Winter on Canterbury Lane.  For
Ernie the Wonder Lab (one of my sons’ dogs),
who visits occasionally, snow is a playground.
For Yoni, it’s “scenery.”  Viewed from indoors.
